Things that make us
Things that break us
Well, are they things?
I call them experiences
The lessons they teach us
The change they bring in us
Sometimes they rise us
Sometimes they push us
To the extremes of our abilities
To the peak of our capacities
They make us strive, cry
Frighten us. Well, they brighten us!
Sometimes they mould us
Into the shapes of life
Break us, tear us, blow us
Ultimately they glow us!
